GROWN UP

As you can see, most of the time I always pick a hassle free and wearable ensemble.Ohh! That rhymes! Haha. But of course we should not forget to add our personal touch in what we wear in a day to day basis. Be it indulging in a trend or stealing a look from your fave lookbooker, just dont forget to own it. Haha. Thats the key, I guess :)

Button down from Esprit
Sunglasses from Dior; Belt from Zara
Dress with your age as they say. Haha. But I find this whole look so matured and grown up (hence the title). Haha. Maybe because of the neutral color of the top? or it is the button-down-tucked-in-a-jeans thing? Haha. But regardless, I find it very wearable that can go along with your day to night look. This is what I love about button downs, theyre so versatile! Definitely a staple item in your closet! Invest on few pieces and start playing with their silhouettes or you can layer them with a blazer or even a biker jacket!

Pants from Topman
You can never go wrong with this kind of crisp button down shirt. It greatly matches a jeans (for more casual/everyday look but still looks sophisticated) or a dressy pants (for a formal one). When buying a shirts, I always take note on few things. (1) the material. I love lightweight shirts, theyre perfect for Manila's weather. (2) the fit. Avoid buying lousy and roomy shirts at all cost! Haha. Its about time to look sharp people! Haha. Pay attention to the length and width of the shirt. If doubtful, dont get it. Haha. (3) the color. I am fond of wearing bright pieces at times but investing in neutral/earth colored pieces is needed too. Always think on how many ways you can wear it. (4) the cost. Haha. Of course! We need to be practical. Know when to save and know when to really splurge. Be wise. Haha! Moving onnnn, I paired my shirt with a a good fitting skinny pants to look dashing. Lol! But seriously, this kind of jeans can make you look leaner. Haha. I donned a white belt just to break the continuity of my dark colored shirt and jeans. Yay or nay? :)

Shoes from Call It Spring!
Watch from Aldo; Bracelet from SM Accessories
All of us are not getting any younger. We learn a lot of new things everyday which make us stronger, wiser and more mature but let us not forget to take things easy. Breathe. Smile. Enjoy :)

Have an awesome Sunday loves :)

CIRCUS

Printed button downs, shirts, shoes, bags, leggings, pants, etc. etc. are seen everywhere. It gives an instant and effortless glam to your daily ensemble. Just dont over kill it. Haha. Anyway, here's my entry for today. Haha. I have extra energy to make one today. Haha. Talking about errands, hospital duties, EVERYTHINGG! Haha. But Im not complaining :) Lol.

Button Down from Versace
Pants from Zara
Accessories from Ferosh Couture PH and PMLP Apparel
Tadaahh!! Another back log photos! My first picture is quite annoying isnt it? But I have no choice but to post it. Haha. So Ive decided to wear a contemporary, carnival inspired button down. I really like the playful and vibrant colors on it. It is versatile that you can wear it under a bold/solid colored jacket, blazer, sweatshirt or worn alone. Haha. But I think the problem with this kind of prints is that guys are afraid to wear it because of the patterns, colors etc and opted for a more neutral or safe colors and designs. Haha. But not me. Lol! I just wanted to try everything and experiment with one piece of clothing at a time.

Shoes from Vans
Sunglasses from Dior
Since I wanted to go all out with colors, I decided to pair it with a colored chinos. And yes, thats the turning point of this ensemble, I am a legit clown now. Haha! I topped the whole look with a solid colored shoes and accessories to make it more coherent. Haha. You can never go wrong with printed wardrobe pieces. It gives an instant "statement" to your look plus you can try to wear them in number of ways!

Enjoy your weekend :)

BIPOLAR

Are you enjoying the weather these past few days? :) Breezy weather that makes me want  to stay in my bed all day. Haha. Hoping that this kind of weather will push through all year round. Haha. Anyway, heres my entry for today. Just a sweatshirt, shorts and sneakers combo for a chill Sunday :)
Sweatshirt from H&M
I took advantage of the weather so I decided to wear my extra thick sweatshirt. Haha. Because its been sitting in my closet for months now and this is the perfect time to give it a spin. Haha. I wanted to portray a relaxed casual look using this sweatshirt. I really like the textured details of it. Agree? Plus it is extra comfy and hugs my body perfectly! As you can see, sweatshirts today look more cool/dapper compared to previous years because of today's patterns, prints, styles, colors and fittings. It gives a variety of options for everyone's personality.

Shoes from Vans ; Watch from G-Shock

Sunglasses from Tom Ford ; Shorts from Zara

Since this is a relaxing meet up with my friends, I donned a good pair of shorts to balances off the whole look. Haha. Because I thought that it would be over the top if I paired my sweatshirt with chinos/pants. Haha. Dont get me wrong, that combination is very wearable but here down south, it would be more appropriate to look casual hence the shorts. Haha! Anyway, a kick-ass sneakers and a good matching watch will definitely hold the look together. Dont you think? :) And oh! dont forget to put on your fave sunglasses for the extra glam. Haha.

That's it! Ill be making my entries a little bit shorter because I have hospital duty errands plus a whole lot more. Haha! Hope you enjoyed your Sunday!

MUSTARD

Did you observe the dramatic come back of colored/pastel pants huh? I can still remember how it first hits the runway way back 2007 when I was in first year college. Im sure you own a pair or two. Haha. Fashion is truly a cycle. OR NOT. Haha. Either way, it can be considered as a style staple in anyone's closet. Agree?

Chinos from Zara
Tadah! Dont you love my honey mustard chinos pants? Haha. As Ive always said in my previous posts, when buying a pair of pants, Im really keen with the fitting, length and the material. Feeling! Haha. But seriously, gone those days where you are really fond of wearing elephant pants, drop down crotch, and baggy pants. Haha. Theyre just not flattering for me now. Haha.

Sunglasses from Dior
Polo Shirt from Bench
Shoes from Milanos
If you are not really comfortable wearing colored pants and you are afraid to look like a clown, try to start with a neutral colored pants and if youre confident strutting it, by all means, try other colors :) Theres no harm in going out of your comfort zone. In this ensemble, I just wanted to make a subtle color blocking thats why I opted to pair my pants with my ever trusted blue polo shirt. The patterns and grey paneled details in my polo shirt really added some extra twist to the whole look. Sometimes, its all about the details :)

Random Belt used as a bracelet
To make the look more coherent, I donned my electric blue shoes from Milanos. Milanos offers great variety of shoes which are stylish, chic and very affordable. I was shocked that this pair cost no more than a thousand pesos. Great finds! Haha. Enough of endorsing! Haha. As for my accessory, I just turned this thin belt into a bracelet. Haha. Im resourceful and creative like that. Lol. Yay or nay? :)

He's the one who took my outfit shot. Thanks baby Nino :) Hahaha. I kid!

Hope youre having an awesome time this 2013 :)

HAIR COLOR FOR 2013

Lets admit it, having a perfect hair contributes greatly on how we look in everyday living. Agree? Thats why I've decided to make an entry about hair trends in 2013. Haha. So youll have an options to choose from. Are you ready?

I've tried being blonde for a couple of months before and I love it but I guess it needs proper care and maintenance. Haha. So, based on my research, here are the "it" hair colors that will rock the year of the Snake.

1. The Brunette - Nothings really special with this. Just a warm tone of color brown and thats it. Lol. But not unless you belong to the Hollywood royalties then youre one hell of a brunette. Lol. Anne Hathaway and Jennifer Garner rocked this look :)

2. The Balayage - this is a hair coloring technique that uses naturalistic highlight. This kind of hair color is perfect for people with blonde-ish base color or not. Haha. Look at these gorgeous girls- Gisele Bundchen, Olivia Palermo and Drew Barrymore.

3. Reverse Ombre- Haha. This is basically the usual ombre style but this time it features a blonde roots and darker ends. Haha. Creative minds. Haha. Jessica Simpson, Gwyneth Paltrow and Christina Aguilera tried this hairstyle already. Trend setters huh? Lol

4. Dip Dyed- I really dont appreciate this hair color but Im not a hair expert so my opinion doesnt count. Haha. Crazy and bright colors. Look at Amber Le Bon, Dakota Fanning and Jaime King's :)

5. Futuristic- This is not your typical hair color. It has the variety of colors and interesting twists. You think you can pull of this look? :)

6. Platinum Blonde- This never goes out of season. It really catches the attention of everyone. I wanted to try this wayy back before but according to my hair stylist, it is reallly painful so I said "nevermind". Haha. Tiis Ganda!

Pretty amazing right? But Im sure any celebrities can pull off any look that they want  without looking stupid. Agree? for us, commoners, we need to research more about it if youre planning to make a 360 change with your look this coming year.Check this site. Im sweet like that. Lol.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!

DENIMIZED

How did you spend your Christmas loves? Im sure you had a great time with your family and loved ones. Hmmm. Can I ask one more thing? Whats your waist line now? Haha! I kid! You are allowed to use the "I-can-eat-whatever-I-like-because-its-holiday/Christmas" excuse. Haha! Guilty as charged! 'Tis the season to be chubby fra la la la la la la la. Sing with me please? Haha. Anyway here's my entry for today.

Button Down from Zara
Belt from Terranova
Ferrari iPad Case
My denim-self made a comeback. Haha. As I've mentioned in my previous post, I really appreciate the denim/chambray fabric now a days. I dont know if this is a sign of getting older or what. Haha. I think denims exude an effortless look that you can pull off wonderfully for as long as you properly mix and match the right washes of the fabrics. I think thats the deal breaker to avoid looking awful in denim on denim look. Haha. Contrast is the key!

Shorts from Penshoppe
Sunglasses from Dior
As for this ensemble, I opted to go for a relaxed denim look but it doesnt mean that it has to be boring. Remember to always throw in some character in your everyday look! The length of this denim button down is quite long and unflattering thats why I tucked it in, rolled the sleeves and paired it with a perfect fitting shorts. I wore a black belt just to make some contrast and to look more polished.

Shoes from Vans
Skulls Bracelet from PMLP Apparel ; Bracelet from SM Accessories
To avoid looking too stiff or uptight, Haha, you can somehow unbutton your top for a perfect laid back look. Haha. But dont overkill it okay? Haha. I finished off the look with black accentuated accessories and shoes. It holds the look together dont you think? :)

Happy Holidays everyone! :)

xx Ryan
